TheraSuit therapy

The "Therasuit" neurorehabilitation course is a three week intensive rehabilitation course for children and young people with functional disorders, provided at the rehabilitation centre “Poga”.

The "Therasuit" neurorehabilitation course is a specially developed and US patented rehabilitation system that utilises a variety of therapies - massage, manual physical therapy techniques, Universal Exercise System, lever system, Spider System exercises, and TheraSuit dynamic orthosis functional training. The tDCS brain micropolarisation (neuroCare Group) can be used as a part of the treatment. Based on the evaluation of the patient's state of health, the most appropriate combinations and intensities of treatments are selected for the patient.

Depending on the child's functional condition, two rehabilitation courses are offered - "TheraSuit3" and "TheraSuit2"

The rehabilitation course "TheraSuit3" includes 42 hours of patient sessions in the TheraSuit Rehabilitation Room and 3 hours of patient data processing, including assessment of the patient's condition before and after the therapy, setting of therapy goals, analysis of the patient case by the interdisciplinary team, home programme development, parental consultations, and preparing the summary. The total duration is 45 hours, the cost of one hour is 30 euros, the total price of the treatment course is 1350 euros.

The rehabilitation course "TheraSuit2" includes 28 hours of patient sessions in the TheraSuit Rehabilitation Room and 2 hours of patient data processing, including assessment of the patient's condition before and after the therapy, setting of therapy goals, analysis of the patient case by the interdisciplinary team, home programme development, parental consultations, and preparing the summary. The total duration is 30 hours, the cost of one hour is 30 euros, the total price of the treatment course is 900 euros.

Based on expert advice, additional therapies may be prescribed within the neurorehabilitation treatment course - GEO System gait rehabilitation, occupational therapy, audiologist, neurologist consultation, osteopath, additional massage. These therapies are organised in additional sessions. Up to 15 GEO System gait rehabilitation sessions, up to 6 occupational therapy sessions, and up to 6 audiology therapist sessions can be assigned within one therapy course. Additional sessions are subject to the “Poga” pricelist.

The patient's condition is assessed at the beginning and the end of the therapy course to determine the effectiveness of the rehabilitation and to identify an appropriate subsequent therapy. Internationally recognised rating scales are used for evaluation. First-time patients are tested using the GMFM - 88 scale (it takes 1 h on average) and PBS scale (10-15 min. on average); for repeated courses the patients are tested using the GMFM-66IS scale.

The "Therasuit" neurorehabilitation therapy course fee is charged for the actually performed sessions in the rehabilitation room and the actual work carried out with the patient's data.

To apply for the "Therasuit" neurorehabilitation therapy course, a health assessment must be first performed at the "Poga" centre. The health assessment is carried out with the participation of four specialists - a rehabilitation physician, a neurologist, a physiotherapist, and an occupational therapist or an audiologist. With a GP referral, the initial assessment at the "Poga" centre is free of charge.

Price: "TheraSuit" price of one session is 30 euros. The total price of the rehabilitation therapy course "TheraSuit3" is 1350 euros, which includes 45 hours during 15 days. The total price of the rehabilitation therapy course "TheraSuit2" is 900 euros, which includes 30 hours during 15 days.
